Two jugglers encounter a disenchanted humanity and make the utopian demand for a poetry-filled society. TUNNEL is an invitation to discover the world in a playful way with new eyes. With their juggling show about the genius of the impossible and the belief in fantasy, they transform the stage for half an hour into a fantastic magic theatre full of sorcery and beautiful appearances. Tunnel is a duo performance that interweaves juggling with aspects of dance, theatre as well as classically inspired music.
Alex Allison is an Irish circus artist and director of Cie Maleta. With his passion for objects, juggling and movement, he has developed the concept: "Juggling is a language". Jonas Schiffauer is a Cologne-based circus artist, theatre maker and co-founder of the Hippana Theatre company. In the summer of 2018, the two meet - and the foundation for a joint company Hippana.Maleta is laid: TUNNEL is their first joint production, touring street theatre festivals across Europe since 2019.
